Description

The Coppedè district, also known as Quartiere Coppedè, is a small and unique neighborhood designed by the architect Gino Coppedè and constructed between 1913 and 1927.
What distinguishes the Coppedè district from other neighborhoods in Rome is its eclectic architectural style, which incorporates a mix of Art Nouveau, Baroque, Medieval, and Renaissance elements.
The district is centered around Piazza Mincio and its streets are lined with buildings featuring elaborate arches, wrought iron balconies, and fantastical sculptures. It's often described as a "fairy tale" or "storybook" neighborhood due to its whimsical and imaginative design.
While not as famous as some of Rome's other neighborhoods, the Coppedè district offers a unique and enchanting experience, providing a glimpse into a lesser-known aspect of the city's architectural heritage.
