Bring water and sun protection as the trail is mostly exposed, and time your visit for late afternoon when the light creates a magical glow across the terraced hillsides.

While tourists crowd the coastal paths, the ancient agricultural hamlet of Volastra sits quietly above Manarola, surrounded by some of the most authentic and still-working vineyard terraces in Cinque Terre.
